About Me
My creative process requires a knowledge of physical materials gained through slow meditative practice and experimentation. My work is entirely made by my own human hands: hand drawn, hand painted, hand sewn, hand quilted, and hand woven. The only machines in sight are my camera and my laptop which allow me to digitize my work using Adobe Photoshop.
My inspiration comes from walking in gardens, museums, and shorelines. I explore the textures and stories that live in physical objects made with human hands. I also love flowers, and could draw them all day.
I have a BA in history, an AAS in graphic design, and am a self-taught textile artist. When I’m not in the studio, I am either in the library with a book and a cup of tea, or in the garden fussing over the flowers. My gardening goal is to have as many daffodils in my yard as possible.
